Hobart- A Spectacular Natural and Monumental Setting in Australia

Posted by Jeremy Storer on December 27, 2011

Hobart is the capital of Tasmania and one of the most populous cities in Australia. A busy trading center, Hobart is one of the best capital cities in the world to visit.

The great views of the 1270m high Mount Wellington, a heavenly structure generally clasped with snow or clouds and the 1420m long Tasmanian Bridge, a link from the city centre to the airport are two of the majestic views visitors are inspired by at Hobart.

Beautiful old buildings such as the tall Wrest Point Casino, Cascade Brewery, Theatre Royal, Cadbury Chocolate factory, Constitution Dock and the Battery point are great places to visit. The royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens at Hobart presents a great variety of as many as 4000 species of plants.

Hobart offers some great museums such as the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery (displays the original artifacts and the convict relics), the Maritime Museum of Tasmania (presents the strength of the sea-faring heritage of Tasmania) and the Tasmanian Cricket Museum (celebrates the religiously followed sport of cricket).

A visit to the lovely Salamanca place, once a place of old warehouses and now got converted into shopping centers, is a great experience as well.
