World War II Memorial

Not far from Griffith Airport, at Narrandera, the Tiger Moth Memorial pays tribute to the brave pilots of the Royal Australian Air Force, and their role in air battles of World War II. The air school that was founded at Narrandera trained nearly 4,000 beginner pilots on the DH82 Tiger Moth aircraft. The Memorial has the old plane on display. The Memorial of the Flying School is open to the public every day, closed on Christmas.

Nature Walk in Hay

If you are interested in enjoying the natural beauty of native bushland, drive from the Griffith Airport to the Hay Nature Walk. The walk follows the northern banks of the Murrumbidgee River and is a scenic venue for your walking exercise. There are picnic areas alongside the walking track.
