One of Victoria’s greatest natural sights the 12 apostles

If you are a tourist to Melbourne one of the greatest sights to take in is the 12 apostles located on the Great Ocean Road in the Port Campbell national park. The 12 apostles were formed over time from the erosion of the limestone cliffs by the sea. They started of as caves then arches then stacks as we know them now. There are not 12 stacks as the name suggests but only 8. They are a spectacular sight when looking down the coast with the tallest of them reaching 45 metres out of the water.

If you are planning to visit Melbourne grab a car rental Melbourne from Rent Me a Car and take the scenic drive down the coast to see the world famous 12 Apostles.
